Academic and Seminary Teaching

I have been a missionary in the Philippines since 1993. My missionary journey started immediately after graduation from the seminary when I was invited to teach at World Mission Seminary. I was assigned to be the Dean of Students Affairs.  During my early days of ministry at World Mission Seminary, Trece Martirez, Cavite, Philippines, we also planted churches in depressed areas of Dasmarinas, Cavite, Philippines. My mission work extended to teaching in Philippines Christian University, Taft Avenue, Manila, where I taught Christian Formation to University students. It was a joy for me to be involved in the life of young people I was called to minister to while studying in the University in 1989. I was invited 1998 to teach at Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries, a Church of God Regional school for training ministers in Asia, Pacific and Australasia. The Seminary is located in the Business Centre of the Philippines, at 102 Valero Street, Salcedo Village, Makati. I travel about 55 kilo meters every day to teach and do administrative responsibilities as the Academic Dean (2013 to 2017). The traffic from Cavite to Makati is terrible, but we must do it for the glory of God.

Seminary education is very important in the building of the Church to effectively and efficiently fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ministry can be effective when we adhere to the passage; “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth”. (2 Timothy 2:15).  “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others”. (2nd Timothy 2:2) The world is in trouble because of ignorance, we need to help educate the world rightly for us to experience peace and order.
